I attended high school in both Alberta and Utah, enjoyed my college years—I worked at the library on campus and as a lifeguard and swim instructor—and then spent the next several years supporting my husband through graduate school—working as a secretary for the biology department, then as the stacks manager for the special collections library on campus, and finally as a stay-at-home mom (doing freelance editing, design, and other odd jobs). His schooling took us around the world (we lived in Egypt for a couple of years with our young kids) and we loved every minute (though we're also glad to finally be putting down roots). I went back to school in the early 2020s and am still plugging along!
